William Lennox Weaver
Lenny arrived on August 9th, 2016 at 4:17 A.M. weighing 8lbs 9oz and 21 inches long. He was born right on Fifth Avenue at Mt. Sinai Hospital during a stretch of picture perfect summer days. You will notice Lenny’s first name is actually William, this is after my husband who is also William, and so is his father, and his father’s father.
Lennox is the most easy going baby of all time, and I’m not just saying that because I’m his mom. So much so that even now if Lenny cries (which is extremely rare) my husband and I still panic a bit! Lenny is infant goals 100%. Sometimes I can’t believe he is ours.
Lenny loves: mornings with his daddy, avocado everything, having his OWN room, traveling, Boston, My Friends Tigger and Pooh, his baby cousin Connor, and of course his Stella dog. The best way to get a good belly laugh out of Len is to give Stella a squeak toy. Lenny loves to watch Stell play!
Lennox is currently 17 months! I cannot believe he is almost 1 and a half! Lenny says a slew of words, and his first sentence was ” Hi Dada.”He also says a lot of things that I cannot understand but he says the same “phrases” repeatedly so I know he is saying something important! We are working on the ABC’s and counting now. Just recently Lenny started using a spoon and fork, and I think one of the most adorable things in the world is to watch him eat his yogurt with his own spoon…
Len loves water and is OBSESSED with his water table. Even though it is SO cold out, Len gets his water fix in our living room and I think he could play on the water table for hours (if I let him). Toddler mamas stuck inside- you need to get yourself one of these!
Just when we think Len can’t be any more precious he learns something new, leaving us in a consistent state of heart eyes. Lenny weighed in at 25.8lbs and was 32.5 inches tall at his 15 month appointment (he has been in the 90-98th range since utero). We have switched to organic grass fed whole milk, about 10-12oz a day. I have been really pleased with Organic Valley’s milk and luckily it’s even available at the small grocery store near our condo. I use almond milk in all of the recipes I make for Len that call for milk since it has a ton of calcium, and he also likes the taste of almond milk in his sippy cup. At our 18 month appointment I plan to ask how I can alternate between almond milk and cow’s milk, while still getting him all of the vitamin D that he needs. Stay tuned!
I have so many hopes and dreams for my boy. I already know that he is a very kind soul, and I can’t wait to see what life has in store for him. As Lenny’s personality develops and he hits new milestones I will be updating this page.
Stella Luna Mihalyo-Weaver
Stella is the 8 year old little bear that lives with us. She is the queen of our home and she takes her roles as big sister and family body guard VERY seriously. Stella was born on February 14th, 2010 (very fitting because she is such a lover) in upstate New York. Stell is 1/2 Bernese Mountain Dog and 1/2 Golden Retriever (Golden Mountain Dog). Stella has been through EVERYTHING with me. College graduation, Ameri Corps, law school, getting engaged, the bar exam, our wedding, pregnancy, and bringing home our first baby. Stell has really taken to being a big sister, and we often joke that she thinks Lenny is her baby. She travels everywhere with us (we drive ALOT) and we are so grateful to have her in our lives.
